^Lot 1507 Robert Taylor

Vintage matte-finish 9 x 11 MGM publicity photo, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “To Mayme Ober Peake—Sincere best wishes, Robert Taylor.” In very good condition, with trimmed edges, a bit of scattered light surface loss to edges, light staining to left edge and signature and inscription a few shades light, but still completely legible. Peak was the first female reporter assigned to cover Hollywood. She was also the first president of the Hollywood Women's Press Club, and had a career covering diplomatic and other political stories in Washington.
